Director, Product & Technology
Director, Technology & Product
Direct Reports: None to start; potential to grow with the business
WHY THIS ROLE EXISTS
Entreprenista is a fast growing membership community and media company serving women entrepreneurs at all stages.
Entreprenista has grown into a business with technology and products at the center of how we operate and how we serve our members, from the internal systems that power the company, to the products our members rely on.
In this role, you'll be Entreprenista's first dedicated technology leader, owning the products and infrastructure the business runs on, across internal operations and the member-facing products we take to market.
You'll own the technology roadmap, lead the build of new Entreprenista products end-to-end, and bring our external technology work fully in-house over your first six months. You'll support the needs of all departments within the company.
This is a builder's role at the leadership level. If you've been the senior builder who's ready to lead, the technical leader who still loves to ship, or the first technical hire at another growing company, this role was built for you.
WHAT YOU’LL DRIVE
🧭 Technology and product roadmap.
You'll own the technology and product roadmap in partnership with leadership, turning business needs and product vision into technical plans, scoping what gets built when, and making the architectural calls that determine how clean our data is, how fast we ship, and how well our systems scale.
🚀 Standing up and building Entreprenista products.
You'll lead the technology and product execution/ project management behind the things Entreprenista takes to market: the new products, the new offerings, the next things our members will use and pay for. That means partnering with leadership on what we're building, owning the technical build yourself, shipping the product, and standing up the systems behind it (billing, member experience, integrations, data).
🛠️ Builds, products, integrations, and automation infrastructure.
You'll own the design and execution of our martech and revenue stack — Klaviyo, HubSpot, Stripe, SamCart, GA4/GTM, Zapier/n8n — and the integrations that tie everything together. You'll scope contractor support where it makes sense, but you're hands-on across the stack and close enough to the work to make the right calls.
🗄️ Our membership database and core data infrastructure.
The membership database is the source of truth for revenue, retention, and member behavior. You'll own its architecture, integrity, and evolution as the business grows, and make sure the data the rest of the company depends on is clean, accurate, and trusted.
🔄 Bringing technology in-house.
We currently work with an external technology partner. Over your first six months, you'll take over that relationship, transition the work in-house, and end the engagement cleanly.
📐 Cross-functional partnership across the company.
This role sits in growth but serves the whole business. You'll prioritize across requests from every team, build systems that reduce ad hoc work over time, and bring a point of view on what we should be building proactively.
WHAT YOU BRING
- A track record of leading technology and shipping products. 7+ years building software, products, or technical infrastructure. You can walk us through things you've built — internal or external — and explain both the technical decisions and the business outcomes.
- Hands-on technical depth across the modern stack. Deep, current experience building with martech and revenue tools (Klaviyo, HubSpot, Stripe, GA4/GTM, Zapier/n8n) and the integration and automation work that connects them.
- You've stood up products before, not just maintained them. You've built and launched something that didn't exist when you started. You know what it takes to take an idea from concept to shipped product with real users.
- Strong data and integration architecture instincts. You know how to design data flows that stay clean as systems are added. You've worked with subscription or membership data and understand the realities of attribution, billing logic, and reporting across platforms.
- You translate business needs into technical reality. When the business says "we need to launch a new product tier with its own billing and member experience," you can decompose that into the data model, integrations, build sequence, and tooling needed to ship it.
- You're precise, accountable, and trust-building. In a role this central, every other function depends on what you deliver. You document your work, communicate clearly about timelines, and are honest about what's ready and what isn't.
BONUS POINTS
- Experience with subscription or membership business models and their technical realities (billing logic, renewal mechanics, expansion revenue tracking)
- SQL proficiency and direct experience designing or working with membership databases / data warehouses
- Python or JavaScript for custom builds, data pulls, or lightweight internal tooling
- Experience with API integrations beyond no-code (custom webhooks, middleware, n8n workflows that exceed Zapier's ceiling)
- Familiarity with Circle, member experience platforms, or community product infrastructure
- Experience as an early or first technical hire: comfort building both the function and the product surface simultaneously
- Background in or passion for serving founders, creators, or small business communities
HOW WE’LL MEASURE SUCCESS
- New Entreprenista products ship on time and work the way they're supposed to
- The technology and product roadmap is owned, documented, and visible
- External technology partnership transitioned in-house within six months, cleanly
- The membership database and core data infrastructure are stable, documented, and trusted by every team that depends on them
- Builds (integrations, automations, dashboards, products) ship at a meaningfully faster pace than the current baseline
- Cross-functional partners across the business report fewer blocked dependencies
- By year two, this is recognized internally as the technology and product function for the company — with the trajectory to scale into a team if the business needs it
